Resumption Newsletter From COVID 19 lock-down

Dearly Esteemed Parents/guardians,

May the name of our Lord Jesus Christ be praised now and forever. In March, schools were forced to shut down abruptly due to the COVID-19 pandemic that cut deep into the world order. We are thankful to God for having led us thus far.

Abia State government has directed that institutions of learning should reopen on Monday the 28th day of September 2020. However, we have decided to reopen on Wednesday 30th September 2020. This extension is to enable you to do all the needful. Kindly note that this resumption is to enable schools tidy up the 2019/2020 academic year. Therefore, a revision will be done which will be followed by examinations which will begin on the 6th of October, 2020, and run till the 13th of October, 2020. Promotional assessment will be determined with 1st and 2nd term cumulative. After the exams, the teachers will compute the results while classes continue.

The first-term for the 2020/2021 academic year will begin on the 26th of October, 2020. SS3 will resume on the 1st of October 2020 in preparation for their NECO exams that will begin on the 5th of October, 2020.

SCHOOL FEES:  50% of the supposed school fees should be paid for the completion of the previous academic session. A full payment will be made when resuming for the 2020/2021 session which will begin on the 26th of October as already stated above. However, whoever wishes to pay all at once can go ahead and do so.

Furthermore, as you prepare him/them for resumption, let the following items be on your list for them:

  • 2 good brooms and 1 cutlass for morning function
  • 2 sizeable hand sanitizers
  • All the colors of jerseys (Remember NO MUFTI of any kind)
  • All school uniforms well made

Our gates will be open from 8 am. Please maintain physical distancing always, and also come with your face masks.

As we wait for the return of our children we place you in the hands of God to guard and provide for you. We have constantly prayed that God may preserve you.

With prayerful best wishes, I remain,

            Yours Sincerely,

Rev. Fr. Benjamin Onyemachi, SMMM
